Under the existing GLP system, the average time to passage through licensing in BC is 3 years. ICBC announces that, as of March 27, 2026, there will be a change in summer 2026: eligible Class 7 Novice drivers with a clean record will no longer be required to take the second road test. Until the said change comes into force, the Class 5 road test can still be booked by qualified drivers.
